Going forward + MK...

SF really has been taking up most of my time the last couple of months, no thanks to the recent spate of tournaments. Practicing, reading up and research on the match-up details is hard work, almost like a second job. This weekend I'll be heading up to Penang to compete with PG, KL and SG's best so it's really giving me the jitters. I've improved drastically in the last month or so but there's just so much more I could do to improve myself. I don't feel ready yet...

Work has been good, plenty of projects to work on and I'm leading a team of 2 now. Have to be more responsible in taking care of my underlings, their progression and my own work. It's tough to juggle sometimes. My end-year review netted me another good pay rise and hopefully a good bonus but looking at what happened to the company, not looking forward to much. Which is a shame really.

Just off the top of my head, need to clean my room up. It's so messy right now. Also need to spend some time thinking about investing in property or stocks. Want to put my money somewhere it can make good returns rather than just sit idly in FD. Hmm... might also invest in an arcade stick, for fun. Seems like a good idea, might as well learn to use an arcade stick and a pad as well. Or maybe I'll just buy myself a PS3. Hm..

Anyway loads of fun times to look forward to. There's the Penang tourney this weekend, MAGE in 2 weeks, Thailand with Janice and Langkawi after that.

Getting back into the old groove...

K SF4 is coming back into my life in a big way, been playing every tournament that comes my way so far with some success. I'm not very good but I guess luck and a bit of practice helps a long way and that has contributed to my success so far. Feels like I'm almost back to my original level before I stopped playing. With SSF4 coming out next week I'll need to put more practice in, hopefully enough to keep me in the game but not too much till I neglect everything else.

Got myself some nice additions to my room recently... a coffee table for putting stuff on, a new computer chair (it's really comfy!), some new spanking speakers which puts out some good sounds and a new gaming mouse to replace my old one. All in all, I spent about RM690 on the whole thing which isn't too expensive I reckon.

Finished Heavy Rain a few weeks back and the game is awesome. It's like a psycho thriller with a lot of mystery thrown into it. It won't appeal to everyone but to me, it's a gem.
